Ophthalmological department
Eye specialists (ophthalmologists) diagnose and treat hundreds of eye conditions, including many that are rare or complex. Eye experts provide comprehensive care for eye diseases and conditions, including cosmetic eye surgery, low vision and specialty contact lens fitting, and a full-service optical store.It is equipped with the latest equipment such as the Canon OCT, a unique diagnostic device that allows you to get a detailed angiography image without contrast. Operations are performed by professional doctors of the department and medical personnel.
The department works closely with the ophthalmology department of the University Clinic of Heidelberg. The head of the department, Professor Gerd Aufarth, is ranked 2nd in the list of the 100 best ophthalmologists in the world.
